A CHILDS IMAGINATION

My niece, Elizabeth, is lost in deep thought while viewing fish at the Texas State Aquarium. What are you thinking about? The pretty fish? I'd like to swim like them. Only she knows. She enjoyed it and talked about it for weeks to her parents.

  1. Good expression on the subject's face. I would say what you were describing was a bit toward subjective feeling. You need to work more on how to assemble the message a bit stronger to achieve an objective factual sense so that viewers can get the feeling that you get. This is one very important training on photojournalism.

What can you do to make this photo achieve the sense you mentioned? May be a clear visible "pretty fish," some hand gesture to illustrate the "deep thought" (this is always hard to tell and difficult to visualize).

However, if you are just posting this as a personal photo, as a visual diary, as a tool to communicate with oneself, the photo will not need to critique on the photojournalism standard.
